Globally, consumer demand for fish continues to climb, especially in affluent, developed nations which in 2004 imported 33 million tonnes of fish worth over US$61 billion -- 81% of all fish imports that year, in value terms.
But levels of captures of fish in the wild have remained roughly stable since the mid-1980s, hovering around 90-93 million tonnes annually.
There is little chance of any significant increases in catches beyond these levels, FAO says.
The agency's most recent global assessment of wild marine fish stocks found that out of the nearly 600 species groups it monitors, 52 percent are fully exploited while 25 percent are either overexploited (17%), depleted (7%) or recovering from depletion (1%). Twenty percent are moderately exploited, with just three percent ranked as underexploited.

Every inch of ground
The mojo mansion has commensed work on it's music studio at 23 adisa akintoye,at ketu and it is also. The booth is being presently padded and softwares will soon be upgraded.
The mojo is also looking forward to continue the work at its proposed fish pond at salami street off agboyi road,Alapere.
How much does one cat fish(fingerlings) cost? how much food do they consume? how much does the food cost? How long before the mansion can head to the market? These are some of the questions the mansion is now asking. In the coming days they willhave to ask more strategic questions and of course there is the ever present challenge of funds and how efficiently they are disbursed.
The mojo mansion is making progress rather slowy, but it is bent on covering every inch of ground in the endeavour to reach its goals.

Eid ul-Fitr or Id-Ul-Fitr (Arabic: عيد الفطر ‘Īdu l-Fiṭr), often abbreviated to Eid, is a Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. Eid is an Arabic word meaning "festivity", while Fiṭr means "to break the fast" (and can also mean "nature", from the word "fitrah") and so symbolizes the breaking of the fasting period.
Eid ul-Fitr is a three day celebration and is called "The Smaller Eid" (Arabic: العيد الصغير al-‘īdu ṣ-ṣaghīr) compared with the Eid ul-Adha that lasts four days and is called "The Greater Eid" (Arabic: العيد الكبير al-‘īdu l-kabīr).
